We decided to get away from the house for a while because we have been stuck there for over a month doing the renovation of the ensuite. So we've come up to Cervantes to do a bit of caching and relaxing.
We were hoping to get a FTF (first to find) on the way up...which we did! And then another while we were here....which we did! We also tackled a hard one that we thought we wouldn't be able to do because a four wheel drive was needed to do it. We don't have a 4WD so we just took a nice long walk along the beach and found the cache easily.
We picked up a couple of unusual shells that we've never seen before...
...we researched them and are called 'Tests'...the skeleton of Sand Dollars
They look like this when they are alive.

And move like this....
And move like this....
Also, during our travels in the last couple of days we came across two long neck turtles. We thought they were tortoises but apparently not!
This little one we nearly ran over while parking the car to get a cache in Perth. He was having a bit of trouble getting over the big curb so we gave him a hand up.
And we spotted this one on a track in sand dunes near Cervantes when WE were returning from a cache.
We're wondering if it's good luck to come across a turtle???
