...and now the Laundry!

Even before the bathroom was finished we started on the laundry. I chipped away all the wall tiles, coz that's the easy part. Ray pulled out the wash trough and when Steve had finished painting the bathroom he started ripping up the floor.

Ray and Ailsa's New Bathroom

A few years ago Ray and Ailsa's house had a major renovation where they moved the kitchen and opened up the living area. It made a huge difference. More room and lots of light. But that was in the front of the house, the back had been left in the 70's and really needed an update.

A Little Bit of Gardening

The other day I opened the bedroom curtains and I could see right across the street. This was unusual because there should have been a huge Grass Tree (Blackboy) in the way.

Collecting lots of bits and pieces while in Kalgoorlie meant I needed to find a new home for them.

All washed up...

For the last couple of weeks we have been busy building a new laundry. This was the only 'before' photo I could find which was taken when we were first looking at the house to buy in 2007....I forgot to take one before we started on the reno.

The long and the short...

....More on the Reno

Before we started making too much mess we laid cardboard and drop sheets down the hall to try and save the carpet and it has worked really well.

Updating our Ensuite

We thought since we have a spare bathroom now we could update ours. It was beginning to crack up from one side of the room to the other and in front of the vanity.

Empty Nesters!

Well it's finally happened, Stephen and I are home alone!! Georgia was the last one of our children to move to her own place.

The New Fence

Our new neighbours, Chris and Terri moved in around Xmas this year. Very nice people too! We had been waiting on their arrival so we could get rid of an ugly old asbestos fence which adjoined their property.

Those Drawers and Dad's Old Box

A while ago you may remember I insisted that Stephen stop and pick up a chest of drawers (here) from a neighbours house they had placed on the verge for collection.

Back on Yulgering

Well it's that time of year again where we go back to Yulgering Farm for a few weeks and enjoy the country life. We're happy to be here but also happy it's only for 2 - 3 weeks as getting up this early when it's so very cold, really does suk!

The Round Table

This project was started months ago and I just hadn't got around to finishing it.
First I had to strip the layers of paint off the top

Visitors

Our project this week was to put a window in the shed. It gets really hot in summer and we needed a cross breeze so we can work in there without expiring.
