Our small camera lens, which we used the most, decided to pack it in during the reno of the bathroom. We decided not to get it fixed because we have been planning for ages to get a new one.
There was a write-up in the paper months ago about the new Tamron 18-270 lens which would replace both the lenses we had. Only problem was they didn't have a Sony mount....until now!
We placed an order online on Tuesday 30th August and it arrived yesterday Thursday 1st September. Very impressed with the service from eGlobal. (Little bit quicker than posting a parcel by sea to Iceland, which took months).
I thought I'd try a shot like the one in the paper to show how great the zoom is.
Both taken from the same spot on the balcony....pretty good me thinks!

Found this lovely quilt this week while out shopping for other stuff!
And lastly this is a new Travel Bug we're going to send out into the world in memory of our Bud! We searched and searched for a new black and white ball but since Bud's been gone they seem to have stopped making them!
