This will be the last post from Tassie.  The last couple days the internet has been in and out so that's why you haven't heard from us.

Today we went to the Port Arthur Historic Site. We took about a hundred photos I've just picked a few.

We travelled from Orford to Port Arthur today. We had a bit of trouble getting accommodation because it's a long weekend here. We hadn't heard about it of course and just about everything was booked out.

We got up early and on the road by nine. Had a few caches to do in town before we left, we had missed  the day before somehow.

About a 2 kilometre walk to these falls for a geocache. Definitely getting our exercise!

We Reached 500!

Day 21

We left Low Head this morning and headed for  St Helens. On the way we found our 500th cache. That means since we've been in Tassie we've found about 175...maybe we'll reach 200 before we leave...who knows!!

This is going to be a very quick post as it's very late, Stephen is already in bed and we have another big day tomorrow.

Around Launceston Geocaching

Day 19

We didn't have a good night last night at the motel. We had a group of young guys come back at about midnight from, who knows where, and decided it would be good to have a bit of a party upstairs.

We drove from Launceston to Green Beach which took us through Beaconsfield and a few other small towns. We had quite a few caches to do on the way and we didn't start till lunch time.

Day 17

We left Devonport this morning and headed for Launceston. We followed the route that we planned last night to fit in as many caches as possible.

Day 16

We slept in till about 9am today. I think we needed the rest since we have been going for just over 2 weeks. So our day didn't start till about 11:30.

We left Stanley this morning with the wind blowing a gale. Even worse than Cervantes!! Today was all about geocaching. Stephen put about 30 caches into the GPS and we thought if they were too hard or to out of the way we would just move on to the next one.

We had a bit of a holdup this morning because some of the roads were closed because there was a car rally coming through the town. Eventually we got going about 11:30am and raced off to our first cache.

 Today we went back to where we were yesterday except this time we were on land. We only had two caches to do in Strahan. This one took us to a beach near Hells Gates. A very beautiful spot.
