Day 21
We left Low Head this morning and headed for St Helens. On the way we found our 500th cache. That means since we've been in Tassie we've found about 175...maybe we'll reach 200 before we leave...who knows!!
The first three photos below were taken in Heathwood. A row of trees were planted in 1918 in memory of those who fort and died in the 1st world war. In 2001 the trees were declared dangerous and were to be destroyed but after a lot of fundraising etc the towns people arranged for Eddie Freeman to carve the memorial statues from the trees using a chainsaw.
Some cool mushrooms on the statues
Saw this on the way..had to stop and take a photo. They were still paining it.
A tunnel used for tin mining. Another fantastic place geocaching has taken us.
Outside the tunnel
Inside the tunnel
Another beautiful rainforest
