We drove from Launceston to Green Beach which took us through Beaconsfield and a few other small towns. We had quite a few caches to do on the way and we didn't start till lunch time.
The motel we are staying in is quite noisy on a main road and the guests don't seem to care about anyone but themselves. So we have been lucky really most of the places we've stayed have been lovely.
Greens Beach....very pretty!
It's too hard to see in this photo, but that point is where we will be staying tomorrow night.
These photos will be familiar to a lot of you. They are of the Beaconsfield Mine, where in 2006 Larry Knight lost his life and Brant Webb and Todd Russell were trapped for two weeks underground.
We thought these Masked Lapwing Plovers were just garden ornaments stuck in the ground...but they were real!
The BATMAN bridge, we thought the naming was something to do with the comic character but it was named after John Batman a Tasmanian who helped settle Melbourne.
