Even before the bathroom was finished we started on the laundry. I chipped away all the wall tiles, coz that's the easy part. Ray pulled out the wash trough and when Steve had finished painting the bathroom he started ripping up the floor.
Before we knew it, we were well on the way....
The electrician put a new power point in at the same time he installed the new light in the bathroom.
When Stephen removed the toilet it revealed this lovely 70's wall paper. No-one remembered ever seeing it before.
Next job was to put the cabinet in.
It was quite difficult to manoeuvre into position as the outlet pipe was on the side. Steve had to make fairly large holes in the back so the pipes could 'slide' a bit.
Now the tiling and grouting
Notice the fan in the background...it's still very hot at this stage in Perth.
Meanwhile Ray started painting all the door trims in the hallway. Not a very big hallway but there are 6 doors leading from it.
After all the tiling was done...floor and walls. The new flash toilet was installed.
In goes the new sink, tap and washing machine.
Steve painted the walls and gave the linen cupboard and overhead cupboard a coat as well.
New matching handles on all the cupboards gives it a new modern look without costing too much.
A well deserved sit down for Ailsa, she looked after us all by keeping us feed and hydrated.
Don't you agree, it looks great??
It only took Steve 4 weeks to complete the bathroom and laundry/toilet. Pretty good as he had every Sunday off and a couple of other days for appointments. Excellent job!!
