Kalgoorlie - Part 2

On our travels we did lots of caching. It took us to many interesting and beautiful places.

A small graveyard in Kambalda. Looks like someone is looking after this one.
We noticed that most of the graves belonged to children and younger adults. Not many people lasted to old age.
The huge salt lake of LeFroy near Kambalda
Most of you will recognise these photos...
...the 2up outside Kalgoorlie.
Didn't have any coins but couldn't resist....had to stand in the middle!

Another rusty vehicle at the Broad Arrow Tavern on the way to Ora Banda. We only stopped in Ora to do a cache and I didn't take any photos...sorry 'bout that!!
The photo is of a man called Jack Carins, he was the last of the old time Dry Blowers. That's the machine below.
He lived alone in this camp he called Belson for 30 years until he broke his leg and hip in an accident riding his bicycle into Coolgardie in 1971.  After returning home from hospital he took his own life. We found his grave in Coolgardie before we came across this place and wondered who he was because of the interesting grave which had a shovel and pick crossed with a billy hanging off the handle.
There is a fence all around the property to try and preserve it.
Notice where his bed is and the brick paving
Right across the road from Jack's place is the Focus Minerals - 3 Mile Hill, which Stephen has a small interest in.

Another cache and another town that no longer exists. This was Bulong. I was very excited when I saw this place, it was full of rusty old tins and broken glass. Even found an old newspaper from 1972.
The only thing that is still standing out of all the building that would have been here is  this old 'Dunny'. It has been placed over a mine shaft...well the hole was already dug...!! Couldn't get too close those sleepers didn't look very stable and we didn't want to end up in the Poo!!
We walked around for ages, seeing what we could find, nothing too exciting because I'm sure it had all been picked over many many times before we made it here.

But wait...there's more!!
