Vicki got up early went to the graveyard and had a cry....that was the start of Vicki's wet, wet day. We had breakfast together and then she went off to Sigga's to help prepare the food.
I think we went for a walk and had a look at the hall where the coffee and cake reception was to be held after the church service. Lots of people worked hard decorating and preparing for the big day.

I think it was one of Olga's relatives who made the wedding cake which was made from rings of marzipan and stacked on top of each other with drizzles of white chocolate all over it.
When we were ready we went back to Sigga's house to see how the bride and groom were going. All the boys were on the internet looking up 'how to tie a tie'. Steve came in and sorted them out. Soon after the final touches were being made with Ross getting mum to help with the rose for his lapel. He had a new suit and was looking pretty sharp, even had braces!
Vicki and Ross walked to the church as they had to be there about 20mins before everybody else. Ross asked Vicki to be his witness (which is a bit like a best man) and she had to sit at the altar next to him. Each time someone came into the church they had to stand up so they bobbed up and down for a while. Olga asked Sigga to be her witness.
Ross eagerly awaiting the arrival of his bride!
Family and friends started arriving at the church. Icelandic/Lutheran tradition requires women to sit one side and men to sit on the other.

I am soo glad that you enjoyed your stay here in Iceland! It was so nice to have you here and I know that it meant a lot to both Olga and Ross. For myself, I have had the best two weeks ever... has been absolutely brilliant! Hope that the rest of your trip goes smoothly and that one day you will find yourself again here and hopefully, this time stay with us...
Thanks Sigga, we did have a wonderful time and you never know you may see us back there one day...i'll be telling all my friends they should be going to Iceland. Thanks again for your hospitality and all the work you did to make our stay so lovely.
