When we got back from Exmouth Vicki was in the throws of getting her house organised for the movers to come in and pack. Amongst a few things she said we could have was a sideboard she had been keeping in her shed for quite a few years and had never got around to fixing up.
I was very excited about this!! So we picked up the trailer and headed over. Luckily Jess and Eva where there to help as I don't think we would have got it on the trailer without them. It was very heavy!

So these are the 'before' shots
Vicki also gave us a few pot plants and a few bits and pieces which we just love.
She left her house a few days ago, everything packed into a sea container and ready for the voyage and now living at our house until she leaves for Iceland. No-one knows when that will be, but she is sure it will be fairly soon.

Our new project is the sideboard. This is the first really big thing we have done up so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out and ends up looking like the picture in our heads.
We decided to take the top off it once we found out it was made of masonite. We went to Bunnings (our favourite store) and bought 3 lengths of Jarrah and Steve is going to stick them together with glue, dowel and very big clamps.

We also had to replace both sides and part of the back as they were a bit weathered. This is as far as we've got but will post new photo's when we're further along.

Can't wait to see the final outcome, so far it is coming together beautifully!
