Home via a few other places....

William Bay in the great southern, Western Australia.

After spending three days in Albany we moved on to Denmark, William Bay is on the way.
There is a cache here but we didn't do it, too many people around to have a good look. We stayed at The Koorabup Motel which was great, nice big rooms with a bush outlook.
View from the hotel room.
All settled in...back to caching.
In this clearing is a very clever cache.  There was five or six things we had to do before the cache would rise from the ground and open. It was a bit scary to start with because we didn't know what we were doing. But we got it in the end. The guy who makes these is a whiz with electronics.
The bottom photo is an unexploded 'bomb' (made from PVC pipe) which we had to disarm. Fortunately it wasn't a real bomb or we would have been blown to smithereens. Scared the daylights out of us, but it was heaps of fun.
We took part of a day off to go to the Valley of the Giants treetop walk. Little bit scary, little bit like being on a boat, makes your head feel a bit funny but fantastic at the same time. Really enjoyed it.
Me with a strange look on my face
Steve on the suspension bridge
View from the bottom, they are huge!
Steve standing in one of the many trees that have been carved out due to fire. These Giant Tingle trees have a root system of about one and a half metres...makes you wonder why they don't just fall over!
We had one cache to do here, and I think it was about our third time on the Bibbulmun Track. Lovely walk and found it with no problems. The next day we were back doing more caching.
We took a wrong turn and found these lovely white cows.
 More photo opportunities
We slowly made our way back to Perth via Bridgetown, Manjimup and Bunbury after spending 10 days away. We had a really enjoyable trip and hope to go back down south after the school holidays. There are still lots of places to see and more caches to be had.
