This year Stephen's brother didn't want to come to Cervantes with his family as they have gone to Rottnest on their boat for Easter. So we have come up here with Ray and Ailsa, Renae and Paul and Kym.
My children have all gone to Jurien Bay for a Heales family reunion just up the road.

I am baby (puppy) sitting Bianca and Ryan's Dog, Safari. She's been with us for a week now and has been very good. She got very excited the other day when they arrived and stayed the night. But was a bit upset when they left again without her. She sat on the coffee table looking out the window waiting for them to come back.
We have just about taught her to be obsessed with the ball (ok not quite like Bud, but with more practice I'm sure it will happen!) and is learning to bring it back to us.
The fishing has been great. So far they have got 4 Dhuies, 3 Bluebone and 3 Snapper. Today is suppose to be the best day for fishing so hoping to improve on that!
The first day's catch

Dad on hand to help
Took Steve quite a while to fillet all those fish and the the next day they got 2 more Dhuies.

Today was also another perfect day out in the water. So more fish to catch.
This is today's haul...
Ray and Steve filleting Paul sharpening the knives
This one had to be put back as they already had 2 Dhuies and that's the quota per boat.
Today is also Anzac Day and services were held all over Australia and in Gallipoli. We are not ones for getting out of bed at the crack of dawn and going to the dawn services, but we did hear the bugles from the service being held here in Cervantes this morning. As you can see the flag pole across the road is flying at half mast, but a bit hard to see is the aussie flag as there is absolutely no wind....perfect for fishing!!
