Playing the Waiting Game....

We are usually in Calingiri by this time of the year but as there has been hardly any rain in the wheat belt  we are waiting, waiting! We really look forward to our little trip to the farm but having to wait around for the rain is a bit of a pain, but that's what happens when you're a farmer. Mind you it has probably been a blessing in disguise because Bianca comes down this weekend for a few days and we would have missed her otherwise.

On more exciting news, we are going to Iceland for Xmas...Yah!! After missing out last year we have booked to go to New York for about a week before heading to Saudarkrokur to spend Christmas and New Year with my older sister Vicki (Vicki the Viking). It will hopefully be snowing as we have never ever had a  white xmas since we live in Australia where Xmas day is notorious for being one of the hottest days of the year. We are also waiting to see if my younger sister Donna and her daughter, Isabella will be making the trip as well. It will probably be a long time before we spend time together like this so we will have to make the most of it. So...hoping all of us can spend a week or so in Spain or the south of France...that's still to be decided. Also, we intend to do a tour of Ireland. Probably hire a car and drive around, taking about a month to do the circuit. We've bought winter clothes, new jackets (we got them early because it's winter here now) and shoes that are suppose to be very warm to keep the wind and snow out.  Even though it is winter they are far too warm to wear here, so far!

Mothers day was quiet. Didn't get to see any of my children but received a beautiful bunch of flowers, a coffee machine and a phone call from them all. Stephen cooked me a lovely breakfast since the kids weren't here to do it. He's a darling!
Well that's about all there is at the moment. We'll just keep waiting!
