Paris-France

We arrived in Paris about 10am and took a taxi to our apartment. The traffic was terrible!! There is no way in the world any of us thought we could drive in Paris.
We got to our apartment and met Martine and Jean Michael who were packed ready to go. It felt a bit strange to be moving into someones home. It was a lovely place and in a very nice area.

It was on the ground floor and those windows are the living area
Jean Michael took me on a quick walk around the block before they left and pointed out where the supermarket, bakery, cheese shop and butcher were...there were also lots of restaurants within walking distance and also showed me where to get the Metro (underground train).
We really enjoyed Paris and would like to go back one day. We found some amazing flea markets which were full of antique shops. Vicki said she was in 'heaven'.

Some of the shops were overflowing with stuff you could hardly get inside
We visited the Eiffel Tower which was only 15mins walk from the apartment but didn't go to the top as there were thousands of people waiting in line and it would have taken all day!!
I was surprised at how beautiful it was

We went to the centre of Paris and took lots and lots of photo's of amazing buildings and visited the Notredame Cathedral while mass was in progress. We didn't get to the Louve but took photo's from a distance...we have saved that for the next trip!!
