Isabella and Donna
Last weekend we went to my little sister Donnas 50th birthday party in Chidlow. We were asked to wear 'elegant bling'.
We weren't really sure what that was so we just dressed up a bit. We don't really have any 'bling' so wore our best jewellery. It was interesting because everyone interpreted it a little bit differently.

It was a lovely night with lots of work done by Donna and her very good friends. We had pre-dinner drinks and a few photo's and then were asked to move to the dinning area where there was a HUGE table ready. We were treated to a three course dinner of mushroom soup entree and a choice of either lamb shank or chicken wrapped in bacon for main. Dessert was yummy cake. The three courses was all cooked by Donnas friends and was delicious. She also hired a young couple who worked as waiter and waitress. Apparently they had never done it before but you would never have known. Georgia spent the day helping out where she could and was my assistant while I took photographs during the pre-dinner drinks.
They are the cakes on the bench. There was also over 150 candles burning in glass jars inside and outside of the house, they looked really cool! (sorry no photos)
Donna's view
There were a few speeches and a few tears shed (mainly by me I think). Bella had some lovely words to say about her mum and then presented her with a birthday present.
Donna's 50th gift from the forty people who attended.
Work mates (funny lady!!)
One of her friends had a funny story about Donna eating her sausages when they lived together as young adults.
Steve looking very happy towards the end of the night.
A great night had by all
